Conflict Calendar,

The Belated Show: The Opening Act

2025

This is a conflict calendar I put together for a feature film I’m producing. We collected everyone’s schedules and I compiled the times they’re unavailable into a spreadsheet to help determine a filming schedule. I made a page of the spreadsheet for people’s weekly schedules, a page for specific dates people are out of town, and a page with the rehearsal schedules for the shows at GMU this semester, including a list of people involved in each show.

Character Scene Breakdown

Once Upon a Mattress

2024

This is a character scene breakdown I created for Once Upon a Mattress at George Mason University. We used this to help schedule music, choreography, and staging rehearsals, as well as full runs, by comparing this scene breakdown to the conflict calendar we had from the cast. I separated out the spreadsheet into Act 1 and Act 2, then based on the scenes in the script, adding in sections for each song, and I split up the cast into principal cast and ensemble. I used a conditional formatting rule to automatically change the cell color of any cell with text to a light gray to help the on-stage characters stand out.

Daily Call Templates

This is the template I typically use for Daily Calls for shows at GMU. I change the rehearsal location, production team information, and show title for every production. I come up with a fun question to put at the end of every Daily Call to encourage the cast to read to the end, and I include phone numbers for myself and the ASM if they’re comfortable for cast to reach out to if they’re running late.

Rehearsal Report Templates

This is the template I use for Rehearsal Reports. I change the production team information for every show, and I adjust the notes categories based on the needs of the show. I like to include a narrative overview of the rehearsal so I can give more detail into what specifically was worked on.

Performance Report Template

This is the Performance Report template from Once Upon a Mattress. For this show, we had Act 1, Intermission, and then Act 2, so I listed start times, end times, and run times for all of those things in the report.
